Two Days in Florence: Travel Guide

Where to Stay

For a short visit to Florence, we recommend staying near the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, often simply referred to as, "Duomo". The Duomo is located in the center of the city. Florence is quite walkable, so this will be the most accessible location for everything you'd want to see within a couple of days!

Before booking, think about what type of accommodation fits your travel needs the best. Florence has quite a variety of places to stay from name-brand hotels, boutique hotels, B'n'b's, hostels, and apartments.

*Need help booking accommodation? Fill out a contact form and let me help you! As an independent travel agent, I can provide quality service to ensure you get the best value for your needs.

*TIP* We don't recommend bringing a car to Florence - as the city was not designed around car traffic (it is nearly 2000 years old after all!). If you must bring a car...park outside of the city and take the tram or bus into the historic city center.

About Me

I grew up traveling and yearning for the day that I could permanently leave the rolling hills and corn fields of the midwest. As I've gotten older, I've realized that there's benefits to having a so-called "boring" home base - i.e. more excuses to travel! I try to plan as many trips as I can fit in (and afford) a year. Join me along the ride as I share my plans and tips!
